I’ve finally made my 10% weight loss goal after hovering around within half a pound of it. Week 24 weigh-in was 13st 8lb. I’ve been away on business and on courses with unhealthy buffet lunches which has stopped my progress. Now I’ve got a month where I can be good and make progress again. My next goal is to reach or exceed 12st 6lb, taking me into the healthy area on the BMI chart.

So basically I’ve been overweight my whole life and I’m finally deciding to kick my butt into taking off the pounds. I have about 130 pounds to lose (I know thats a lot) but I’m looking for any good tips on weight loss, other than the obvious diet and exercise routines.

i’m 19 and 5’2 and i weigh 154. i’d like to get down to 130. i looked up all my calories on calorie count and it says i can eat around 2000 calories a day and maintain my weight (which i have been for 2 years). however i would like to lose weight now, so if i cut down to 1,500 a day and exercise (i like to walk home from school, it’s about a 45 minute walk at a brisk pace), i’d burn enough calories to lose 1 pound per week.
another question i have is if i cut my diet to 1,500 but didn’t exercise for 2 days (like on the weekend), would that still count as burning 500? or do i still need to find some type of activity?
any advice?
