Open Question: Started the C25K program and gaining weight!?!?

So I just completed week 3 of c25k. Here is a little background into my weight loss history:

March 2010- decided to clean up my diet and exercise. Started walking 3 miles a day, 5 days a week. Lost 10lbs a month like clockwork. Had a 2 deaths in the family and other “life” issues and took some time off. Kept up the good eating just didn’t work out as much. Lost a total of 50lbs.

March 2011- Down 50lbs. Went on a cruise and moved across the country. Gained 20lbs over the rest of the year :(

January 2012- decided enough is enough and I’m going to lose the rest of my weight this year. I need to lose 50-55lbs. Started my walking mid Jan and lost about 6lbs in 2 weeks.

The 2nd week of Feb I started the c25k program and decided I need to take a break from the scale. I told myself I wouldn’t weight until March 1st. I weighed 192.4 on Feb 1st. C25k was going great and I feel great. Weighed myself on the 1st and I’ve only lost 1lb!!!! I have lost 8.75 inches but why is my weight staying practically the same!?!?! I’m so used to losing at around 10lbs a month! Help.

PS: I’m eating exactly the same as I did when I lost that 6lbs in Jan. I’m 5’6″ and weigh 191.2. My goal weight is 135-140.

Open Question: why have I stopped losing weight as fast, is it because Im gaining muscle or changing diet?

In highschool I was quite muscular but was still a little chubby I was around 210 pounds.its been about 3 and a half years and after university and 6 months of an office job ive lost a signifigant ammount of muscle and gained alot of weight got up to like 244 lbs

Something hit me and all of a sudden last month ive been going the gym 4 or 5 times a week for the last month, for the first like 2 and a half weeks though, all I was doing was going hard on cardio equipment and burning 500 calories every time I went. It seems like the first three weeks I was losing 2-3 pounds every week I’m now down to 237. However after the 2-3 weeks I began working an upper body muscle routine into my workout that I do about twice a week. However now, I don’t feel like I’m losing the weight as rapidly.

So my question is, what do you think the change in weight loss is related to,
is it possible that the muscle gain in lbs is as much as is close to what I’m losing in weight and so it seems like I haven’t lost any?

Another theory I had was that because when I first started I had changed my diet from fastfood extremely often like most days to healtheir choices (not extremely healthy but atleast homecooked meals) and maybe I was losing weight because of that, but now my body has adjusted to my new diet?
